She is the author of East Asian Screen Industries (BFI, with Darrell Davis), Taiwan Film Directors (Columbia University Press, with Darrell Davis) and editor of Chinese-language Film: Historiography, Poetics, Politics (University of Hawai’i Press, with Sheldon Lu).
