Book Presentation:
Bryan Renfro is a semi-retired stuntman, actor, and animal trainer who started out in the 1960s culture of drugs and gangs. After a tour in Vietnam, he returned to find that the man he was no longer fit in the world he’d left. He joined his uncle’s animal show at Universal in 1972 and moved on to work as a trainer on shows like "Here’s Boomer" and "Little House on the Prairie," and as a double and stuntman in hundreds of films and television shows as varied as "Squanto: A Warrior’s Tale," "Avonlea," "Prince Charming," "American Psycho," and "Murdoch Mysteries."On the days that get me down, I think of the names on “The Wall” and I am so thankful for everything I have. I have been very lucky throughout my life, having missed some really bad things—sometimes by mere inches. I worked hard and long, but good old dumb luck played a big part in my life too. Above all, though, I never forgot where I came from. I guess there’s a lesson in there somewhere. —from the book
