Book Presentation:
Enrico Praloran's collection consists of set photographs and promotional images from the 1932 film Freaks by American filmmaker Tod Browning. The film tells the story of Hans (Harry Earles), a circus "dwarf", who abandons his fiancée Frieda (Daisy Earles) for a "big woman", the very voluptuous trapeze artist Cleopatra, known as Cleo (Olga Baclonova). Learning that Hans has inherited a fortune, Cleo then conspires with her lover Hercules (Henry Victor), the circus giant, to marry Hans in order to poison him, and thus inherit his fortune...
