It’s no wonder that movies tracing the rise and fall of these fascinating characters have built a rapt fanbase. 100 Iconic Gangster Movies fills a gap in the literature and serves as a roadmap for navigating this beloved and enduring genre by highlighting 112 of the best films by directors from all over the globe. Relive the unforgettable dialog and scenes, discover some half-forgotten gems, and learn more about these masterpieces of action and suspense, often inspired by real events.

About the Author:
After a career of over twenty years in the book industry as international sales manager and then as managing director for several art publishers, Pierre Toromanoff co-founded with his wife Agata a book packaging agency in 2014. Since then, he has authored several publications on contemporary art, pop culture, and fashion. His passion for the Golden Age of French cinema (1930s and early 1940s) was the starting point for an interest in the timeless genres of gangster films, war movies, westerns, and romantic comedies. He lives in France.
